In 1981, almost 20 years after the last train stopped at Kilmessan, Chris and Thelma Slattery rescued The Station House from oblivion. They fell under the spell of its romantic charm, purchased the property and in the years that followed lovingly transformed it into the first class hotel and restaurant it is today. The Station House Hotel stands on twelve acres, many of which are beautifully landscaped such as the gardens and lawns, offering peace & tranquility to those who seek it.
